The City of Gainesville/Gainesville Regional Utilities is seeking an experienced individual to
- manage multiple collective bargaining agreements
- negotiate targeted outcomes across the portfolio of agreements, and
- serve as a chief spokesperson for negotiations for assigned collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities include day-to-day administration of the agreements including discipline and grievance handling.
To be considered, candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college with major course work in
labor law, personnel management, business administration or related subject and have four years progressively responsible
experience in personnel administration with an emphasis in labor/employee relations along with experience negotiating
collective bargaining agreements - preferably in a multiple-union environment.
Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be substituted;
a J.D. may substitute for two years experience.
